AVISA appointed as Technical Services provider for Jersey Aircraft Registry
AVISA, following a competitive tender process, has been awarded the contract for provision of Technical Services which will include regulatory airworthiness surveys, aircraft inspections, continuing airworthiness technical advice and flight operations advice to the Jersey Aircraft Registry (JAR) when it launches in 2015.
Minister for Economic Development, Senator Lyndon Farnham, said: “I am very pleased to see the appointment of such an experienced aviation consultancy as technical services provider to the JAR. With its neutral fiscal regime, reliable infrastructure and highly respected level of financial, legal and fiduciary expertise, Jersey is ideally placed to provide a world-class aircraft registry, and this is an important step in delivery that proposal.”
Phil Stuckle, Managing Director – AVISA added “We are delighted to be working with Jersey on this exciting initiative, and we look forward to supporting the development of the JAR as a safe, professional and efficient option for the registration of high-value aircraft.”
When JAR becomes operational this year, it will target high-value private and corporate aircraft and allow for the registration of private and corporate aircraft using the nationality registration prefix ‘ZJ-‘.
